Janette is an experienced senior executive with 25 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. She has led R&D and international pharmaceutical drug development projects for GSK, CELS, Gardant, Jomaa Pharma, Immodulon, Horizon Discovery and others.
She was Director of International Operations at Atlantic Healthcare Ltd responsible for international activities across regulatory, manufacturing, Intellectual Property and project management of pharmaceutical compounds in development from research through to the market.
Janette has a Diploma in Company Direction from the IoD.
Experience in leading projects in development phases from pre-clinical through to life-cycle management.
She has biotechnology business experience in reviewing and implementing innovative technology to identify commercial potential for investors, licensing new technology for start-up biotechnology companies, developing strategies to optimise value, writing major grant applications, and producing the plans and budgets for development to market.
Janette conducted post-doctoral research at the University of Cambridge and at Glaxo as a protein biochemist, where she led research groups and, later, drug development projects in a wide range of therapeutic areas including Oncology, Inflammation, Neurology, Cardiovascular, Inflammatory Bowel and Infectious Diseases (particularly malaria). Projects included early stage research projects such as developing human cell models for oncology research and diagnostic standards, drugs in candidate selection, phase I and II, orphan drugs and life cycle management projects.
